NZCIS Athletes’ Village

Great vision and years of labour and love is coming together for the team behind the New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport (NZCIS). NZCIS is now up and running and it is fantastic to see images being shared of teams training in some incredible facilities and news of agreements for NZCIS to host during major sporing events in the future.

The Sports Hub location within NZCIS will be an all-encompassing, top-notch facility that combines lodging, physical training spaces, and services for performance data collection and analysis. The campus includes a 1000 square metre gym, an altitude studio, cryotherapy facilities, pools, four outdoor fields, and a 70 x 50 metre indoor field on the 17 acre property.  

We were involved in the interior design for the Athletes’ Village which is due for completion early 2023. These 50 apartments and the amenities building will act as a home away from home for athletes or corporate traveler, for competition or conference.

The facilities are so thoughtful and thorough. We’re in love with the cork flooring which felt adventurous at the time of specifying but now feels like 100% the perfect choice.
